Weekly Men's Gathering
Hey brothers,
You’re invited to our Weekly Men’s Night at Fife Street Brewing, happening every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of the month at 7:30 PM. It’s a casual, low-key opportunity to connect with other men from Hope Church and build real friendships over good food and drink.
Fife Street has something for everyone—from great food and craft brews to a solid selection of non-alcoholic options. Whether you’re new to Hope or have been around for years, you’re welcome to come and bring a friend.

Hope Creates
Join us on March 19th for a time of creativity, prayer, and community! We believe that all people are creative and want to encourage those gifts within to be acknowledged and used for worship of God, our Creator, and to build one another up in those gifts alongside each other.
During this time, we will hear a passage from scripture together. We will meditate on it (Lectio Divina) and from that place, have time for prayer, reflection, and creativity through whatever means of creativity that comes from you. This may include painting, drawing, prayer journaling, instrumental music, songwriting, poetry, knitting, crafting, coloring, sculpting, or any other wide variety of creative expression that you may have.
More details may follow in coming weeks. Ultimately, we hope you can join us for this time of prayer and creativity and hope you are blessed by this gathering!

Appalachian Deanery Gathering and Eucharist Service
Join us for a Eucharist service on March 12th @ 6PM! This is not only a beneficial time of worship with one another but a great chance to meet with and fellowship with our brothers and sisters within our Appalachian Deanery! We hope you are able to join us!

Ash Wednesday
Join us on Ash Wednesday as we come together to mark the beginning of the season of Lent. This service is a great and humbling reminder that we are but dust and to dust we will return one day. We hope you can join us!
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner
Join us on Tuesday, February 17th, for our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner! We take the opportunity to gather and feast together before the beginning of Lent and the season of fasting, reflection, and repentance that begins the next day on Ash Wednesday. This is a great event for the whole family! We hope to see you there to feast and rejoice alongside of you!
Women's Christmas Soiree
Join us for a night of good food and merriment. This will be a welcoming, warm and fun gathering for the women of Hope Church; you needn't bring anything but yourself!

Christ the King Sunday, Annual Meeting, And Potluck!
Join us on November 23rd for Christ the King Sunday!
In addition to our Sunday Eucharist service, we will be having our annual church meeting directly after! We invite you to bring food and desserts for a potluck style meal that we can share together!
Shortly after, we will begin our annual meeting and discuss things such as where we have been, where we are now, and the vision for the future of Hope Church! We will take this time to celebrate the good gifts that God has given us! Furthermore, we will be announcing the newest vestry members that have been nominated and have chosen to take that role! This will be wonderful time of fellowship, reflection, and vision for our church and we hope you can join us!
All Saints' Celebration and Potluck
Join us for a special All Saints’ Day celebration on Sunday, November 2nd, as we honor the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us in Christ. We invite you to bring photos of friends and family who have died in the Lord to display during our service. These images will remind us that even though they are no longer with us on earth, they continue to worship with us in the presence of God.
Together we will celebrate the hope and joy we have in the resurrection, lifting our voices with the saints as we worship the One who holds us all in His eternal love.
We will also have a potluck after the service so we invite you to bring your best dishes and desserts to share with everyone! We look forward to having this time together with food and fellowship!

If you’re a volunteer with Mighty Oaks children’s ministry join us for a chance to celebrate and reflect on the past year. We’ll have dessert and an opportunity to share moments of gratitude and what we have observed in both our children and ourselves.

An Artful Expedition for Women
Join the women of Hope Church on October 16th for the Artwalk in Downtown Charleston. We'll meet at 6:30pm at Ellen's Ice Cream on Capitol Street and then go for a wander through the art galleries in downtown! We'll finish when the Artwalk wraps at 8:00pm.

Women's Retreat

Join women from across the state of West Virginia for a time of teaching, fellowship, and creative engagement with God.
This year we're excited to welcome Claire Andrews, a spiritual director and speaker who runs Kerith Retreat Centre with her husband. Claire will be speaking on intimacy with Christ and one another, finding our anam cara or soul friend on the road of life. We'll also have opportunities to engage with the Lord with practical, creative means.
Nursing babies are welcome and scholarships are available for those in need (please contact us for necessary registration code).
Join us for this sweet time of fellowship with women in your parish and from across the Anglican churches of West Virginia!

4th - 6th Grade Catechism Class
Starting September 7th we will be offering a catechism class for our children 4th through 6th grade. We will meet after Sunday service for the first three weeks of each month. Together we’ll discuss both questions of doctrine and the meaning of the liturgy. While this is optional for our children, we do ask that if your children would like to participate, you commit to regular attendance.
